We understand that you have to move well and move often to make meaningful changes to your body. Our sessions are a hybrid of physiotherapy and personal training. Within the scope of physiotherapy, we may use a combination of manual therapy or needling to help reduce pain, increase body awareness, and mobilize joints while personal training will help to maximize strength and endurance through full range of motion.
Raincity Physiotherapy is operated and solely managed by Jessie Wong. Her goal is to help individuals of all abilities be unbound by pain, move optimally, and be able to reach their peak physical potential.
As a registered Physiotherapist, Jessie has been helping people of all ages and physical ability by providing educational and preventative care. She is currently completing her Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy, is certified to practice medical acupuncture from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canadian Institute and is certified as a Functional Movement Screen Examiner and utilizes the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) tool.
Her personal blog, is a reflection of her insight into injury prevention, active living, and strength and conditioning.
Our key interest is in injury prevention. We will create a program that is designed to minimize your risk of injury using results from the FMS and SFMA. Education and knowledge is key to enjoying a long-lasting active lifestyle. The more you know about your body and its weaknesses, the better the defense you can build.
We can create a program that is specifically designed to meet the needs of those looking to start an exercise routine or those seeking an exercise program for return to sport after an injury.
We use an integrated and holistic approach to assess movement and treat dysfunctions. We utilize a variety of modalities including acupuncture, manual therapy and exercise prescription to ultimately help you move and feel better.
